Ovum, Big Salt Orange 2023

Established in 2011 by husband-wife duo Ksenija & John House, Ovum was founded in hopes of producing Oregon white wines that are honest reflections of time and place. Their low intervention production method is a commitment to letting the wine and vineyard shine, not the winemaker: at Ovum, fruit comes first. Big Salt Orange 2023 is a stunning orange wine. Made from a blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewürztraminer, it is bold, aromatic, and packed with personality. Bursting with tangerine, dried apricot, and a hint of jasmine, it’s textured yet zippy, with bright citrus, tea-like tannins, and a salty, mineral edge. Fresh, funky, and fun, it’s a perfect intro to skin-contact wines.
